Union leaders and young immigrants are organizing more than 50 protests and cultural events from Philadelphia to Phoenix on Saturday with an aim toward highlighting the power of the immigrant rights movement. Immigrants living in the country illegally also hope the events will make it clear to the incoming administration that they don’t plan to leave the country despite Trump’s calls for a border wall, tougher immigration enforcement and mass deportations.

“This is our first salvo to what may be a long, drawn out campaign,” said Jorge-Mario Cabrera, spokesman for the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles.

It goes without saying: the legal system the book at those illegal aliens and their fans.

Too much newspeak. Are we talking illegal immigrant rights, or immigrant rights? Two TOTALLY different things.

Immigrants have a legal path to citizenship, and can enjoy the same rights as every other American.

Illegal immigrants are law breakers that have no business being in the country. They steal $110 BILLION a year from taxpayers and do not respect our laws.

That is funny hearing from the Unions. Unions are supposed to represent American Labor and crack down on under the table lower pay?

Even when the wall is complete and e-verfy is in place many will go home. Employers who knowily hire illeges and bYPASS or fabricate the basic I-9 form will be proscuted.

Unions do even care about thier members, just the political juice they desparately need!

Its amazing what Illegle will do to stay, so there for famalies too should be deported!

Yeah at first glance, that is what I thought about the unions. Illegals are union busters, modern-day Pinkertons.

But it is the TEACHERS UNION that is supporting illegal immigration. Another special interest group that puts money and power ahead of the actual well-being of the children they should be teaching.

It would certainly anger me to see public school teachers that I pay for waiving the flag of some foreign country at one of these events. The teachers would likely sit down and shut up if Trump said they were all being replaced by non-union foreigners who will take a paycut and will not demand any benefits. There would be very, very little support for illegals if THAT happened. But no, they feel their jobs are safe and have no qualms about impacting other peoples jobs or the educational outcomes of children that have the legal right to an education in the US. Forget that, as more students equates to more money from the government for them.
