I have no problem ending birthright citizenship. Having said this:

Trump said the “US is the only country that grants birthright citizenship”. He’s either lying or misinformed.

Trump said “they said I can do it just with an EO”.

Who is “ they”?

Non-starter. Would require a constitutional amendment, which requires overwhelming consensus.

No way to get that much consensus on such a measure in today's political climate.

The problem is that with any law that started with good intentions it gets twisted and loopholes are exploited.

It is not right that a woman can travel to the US, have a baby, go back home and that baby is a citizen with all the Rights of any one of us.

I'm sure there are pregnant women in the caravan that is marching its way toward us and their goal is to pop that baby out on US soil.

Birthright citizenship needs to be amended.

Trump’s blowing smoke out of his ass as usual. There’s no way in hell this will hold up in court. The 14th Amendment to the Constitution is very clear on this issue.

Meh ... That's what they said when he wanted to limit travel from certain countries.

H.R. 140 has been introduced and may see action this year after the elections especially if the Republicans win control again.

Completely different, there is no constitutional provision guaranteeing travel rights to the US from all countries. There is for birthright citizenship.
