Small Border Patrol stations/crossing areas every 25 miles.

One large headquarters every 100 miles with Border crossing stations.

Build 1 large facility in the largest crossing area. Have a hospital there as well as many administration building's. Small town for Government employees. An airport. Lodging areas for those in the limbo of being sent back to Country of Origin or allowed into the U.S. A Veterinary service area as well.

Increase staffing at National Parks and Forest areas along the Border to better secure the area.

Increase staffing of medical professionals.

Work with private home owners to lease land on the Border to better patrol it.

Have 3 Aviation Unit's.

3 Water Unit's and work with the Coast Guard to better protect the Waterways.

Reform Immigration Laws to reduce red tape and make legalization a smoother process.

Reduce the size of the Border by returning some land back to Mexio and land to Tribes in the area.

You forgot one very important element and that is building good physical barriers to deter illegal entry where it is feasible.

Just human power

Have a crew of 12 BP Agents and 3 Paramedics patrolling an area of 24 Miles

3 Agents cover 8 miles within those 24 miles

(144 BP Agents at one Small HQ Area)

1 Medic for each 8 miles (24 Medics/LPNs Stationed at one Small HQ Area)

The crisis on the border is due to the influx of asylum-seekers. Many are from Central America. The solutions proposed by the Trump Administration have either been overturned by the Courts or not obtained the hoped-for cooperation from Mexico.

I disagree with you and so does the Border Patrol. They need the good barriers to be able to do their jobs more effectively and to protect themselves. More manpower costs more dollars.

Do make a good point

However, a wall would not be able to cover the entire border. The areas that it would cover would still not offer 100% prevention of undocumented immigrants or drug traffickers entering the Country.

Now in Certain hotspot areas a fence may make sense. As well as increased vehicle blocks.

A border patrol of 4 Officers covering every 8 miles of the Border seems very efficient.

Does your 144 agents cover every 24 hour span? Or is it broken down to to 3 8 hour shifts?

Do the 3 agents covering 8 miles ride together or are in separate vehicles?

If alone, howl long does it take to cover their 8 mile area?

The illegals wait hidden until the 1 agent rides by, then when out of sight they cross.

What is the annual cost? Include pay, benefits, week ends, vacations, sick leave, federal holidays, vehicles, gas, maintenance on the vehicles, uniforms, medical supplies, etc.

Personally, I don't think you have thought this through enough.

Contrary to what many against the wall have said, this item HAS been talked about by Trump MANY TIMES.

2 Agents cover 1 8 mile stretch with 1 Medic/LPN
6 Agents would do 7A to 7P or 7P to 7A
2 Agents would do 12P to 12A or 12A to 12P
3 Medic/LPNs do 7A to 7P pr 7P to 7A
2 Agents cover 24 mile stretch
1 drone covers 24/7 the 24 mile stretch

With immigration reform doing away with red tape and extra bureaucracy would make the process smoother. Thus deterring people entering into the U.S. undocumented. That is all hypothetical.
