Fact - Illegal immigrant workers contribute more to the American economy than cranky bitter retirees.
What an ugly comment! OldGlory has every right to be upset over the total lack of respect for our laws and the effect illegals have on our society. He is not alone.
What I was stating was factual. A retiree who isn’t working isn’t currently contributing to the US economy. An illegal immigrant working 80 hours a week washing dishes full-time in two different restaurants is.

What is even more upsetting is the Americans citizens who support and defend these illegal invaders. In fact it's downright disgusting!
Not as much as restricting immigration does. Economists would tell you that illegal immigration is the byproduct of market inefficiencies, and more specifically those caused by our restrictive immigration laws.
I would like you to cite 5 known economists who say "illegal immigration is the byproduct of market inefficiencies".
I actually can believe it, because in a pure economics sense, we are all just 1 unit of labor. "Pure Economics" doesn't deal with the real world though.
And, when you want to attribute it to "restrictive immigration laws", then please give us the countries whose immigration laws are much less restrictive.
So let me get this straight. It isn't sound immigration policy and is too restrictive to only allow in immigrants with skills, who are educated and will be self-supporting? It isn't sound immigration policy to keep population growth in mind to? Really?

Yeah but that’s a reporting and taxation problem. It doesn’t take away from the productivity.
It's truly sad that you advocate for the exploitation of humans because it "increases productivity". And you see elderly and children as "non-contributors", which you completely wrong by the way, there are entire industries providing services to elderly paid by the money they saved privately and through social security. You want to justify illegal activities by attacking the very system you want to exploit. It's just gross and pathetic.
