When did you first notice that illegals aliens were a problem in America? In North Carolina I guess I had started noticing it in the late 90's, but more so around 2000-2001. And it has gotten to be now an issue for the entire country, where basically every community has to deal with it some way or the other. Most recently in NC, we have had several fatal DWI crashes involving illegals that has really catapulted the issue forwards. When or what was it that made you stop and think for the first time that the illegal aliens were becoming an issue?

When so many stores started selling "Dos Aquis" and Corona. That and maybe the clusters of 50 or more at a given street corner waiting for contractors to pick them up for day labor.

Glad they're working, but it would be nice if they paid taxes on that income.

More specifically for me, I guess I started seeing car lots with spanish advertisements, then quickly it seemed the press "1" for English, "2" for spanish options appeared on the atms. And I noticed alot of construction jobs were heavily hispanic. Also the infamous DMV seemed particulary crowded. As time went on, I noticed certain cities, especially out east where alot of tobacco plants are, entire small towns seemed inundated with them.

Few Mexicans from Mexico drink Corona, that's for the gringos and pochos. OTOH, most of the Tecate market is Latino (comprising native born citizens, legal immigrants, and illegal immigrants alike).

Not the ones around here. I always see them leaving the beer dist with a case of Corona. Of course I'm not sure they're illegal Mexicans, but I'm sure they're Mexican or Central American.

I think the immigration problem became more like an invasion after 911. Nothing wrong with immigration if monitored so as not to upset majority American population in ANY town, city, etc, but that was not the case. And it seems to have happened in ALL states. Went right along with OUR tax increases too. What is so upsetting is that we pay through our taxes for this invasion and all the problems that go along with it. It is a wrong thing to do to all hardworking Americans--our representatives obviously do not represent us.

Is Tecate available where you're at?

When did I notice? In my previous job as a 9th Grade High School Registrar, when I had to enroll illegals, (thanks to the, “No Child Left Behind Act”), without grades and testing information. I wasn’t allowed to inquire as to if they were illegal or not. Very hard to place a student in the correct grade level without this information, and yet we were expected too! We had to look the other way, as no one was to accuse the parents of being illegal. I find this very disturbing.
