Will that influence the illegal alien issues in America? Will the Times brainwash us into giving Amnesty to 20 million illegal aliens? Is the New York Times to become a Fascist, Marxist propaganda RAG?

Mexico's Slim May Invest in NY Times

NEW YORK, (Reuters) - Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim may invest hundreds of millions of dollars in the New York Times Co, giving the ailing U.S. newspaper publisher critical financial help, a source familiar with the matter told Reuters on Saturday.

The Times might give the telecommunications tycoon, who already owns a 6.4 percent stake in the Times, preferred stock with no voting rights, but with an annual dividend.

Can you read it again and pay more attention to this quoted section...

Like many other American companies, The Times is simply trying to remain afloat. Did you have an issues with Anheuser-Busch being bought out by InBev?

NY times is just trying to survive during this weak economy and if someone is able to help, hell yeah they will accept. Your just mad because he is from Mexico and people like you think that every Mexican wants to be an illegal and come to the US.

You could have fooled me. Judging from the consistently pro-illegal alien stance that the NYT proudly maintains, I figured that he already controlled it.

He probably will invest for less profit than an American billionaire. Even their billionaires are taking the jobs of American billionaires!

Note to Moderators: Slim buying into the NYT is not 'immigration' related, per se.

True. I can't believe the Illegal Alien Brigade didn't jump on this. Oh, that's right. . . .a certain person didn't start this thread.

Does this mean the edge of the paper will now be called "the Slim Margin"?.....will the new boss allow an English-language edition to be published? Will the title "Los Tiempos de la Nueva York" fit on one line, or will the front page have to be rearranged? What about the funny pages...will Slim still allow "Raton Mickey", "el Pato Donald", "la Amenaza Denis", and other favorites? Will there be a Fourth of July edition? What about Cinco de Mayo...will that still be on the traditional American date of May 5th?.....
