The citizens have spoken; yet, the court overrules in favor of cheap illegal labor. Does anyone still doubt the agenda of these IA profiteers?

It's probably also trying to protect the businesses from loosing out to other businesses in the neighbouring cities. Since this was a city law, it would probably just cause the employers not to hire immigrants, the immigrants would move to the nearby cities, and the city's businesses would suffer.

How does the enforcement of our laws constitute “a problem with democracy?” Moreover, the fact that illegal aliens are considered a “minority” does not give them carte blanche to violate our laws.
The only 'protection' they are offering, is protection against illegal employers losing their cheap labor.
This happens all too often. It happened in California with Prop 187, and it happens all over the U.S. in city after city where citizens vote for legilslation, only to have some judge overturn it.
This is why I've stopped getting excited anytime a city passes any anti-illegal immigration legislation. I know there's a good chance it will be overturned.
