You know, here is the deal.....there is so much confusion about why hispanic has become synomous with the illegal immigration debate. It has been pointed out so many times that not all illegals are hispanic (very true) and that it is unfair to assume a person is illegal because they 'look' hispanic or speak Spanish (also very true).
But then you get an idiot like Geraldo proudly recounting how the hispanic population has said 'no mas' to illegal immigration enforcement. The very use of 'no mas' is inflammatory and yet again ties hispanics with illegality.
I agree with you that Geraldo has gone off the deep end there: my stepsisters (100% Anglo White) have light brown skin courtesy of their partial Italian lineage----------does that make them Hispanics?
Besides: some true Latinos (Argentines are an example) are Nordic White courtesy of their Scandinavian, Irish, English, etc. background.
Geraldo is not even authentically Latino. He practices Judaism not Catholicism.
A friend of mine from Mexico; born/raised, is of 100% Ashkanazi Jewish background and not only is an 'Observant Jew'---------he self identifies as a Hispanic. The irony becomes deeper: his surname is an (usually) Anglo-Saxon one to boot.
Hmm... they must've made Obama the first Latino President after they remembered that the title "First Black President" has already been taken by Bill Clinton.
Geraldo is being his usual illogical ethnocentric hispanic self. He's flat out lying about Lou. Lou just reports facts. But Lou in reporting those facts when the rest of the liberal media refused to did awaken the American sheeple to the illegal alien invasion going on in this country. The question I ask is why is the POS Geraldo on Fox. Or for that matter on the air anywhere? Fox must need this POS for their claim to be fair and balanced. So they can say that 'look we have irrational ethnocentric hispanics too'?
