Which is the way it should be. An illegal alien can not get a driver's license. Show your license and you're all set.
A drivers License is not proof of citizenship, neither is a military ID. Birth Certificate issued by a state is no proof either according to many. This is going to be funny when they start rounding up seniors
How will the police determine who will be asked? It is not the question of already being pulled over for something else, it is the question of how does LE pull someone over for probably being an illegal?
I'm not convinced that will happen. Like I said, we need to see the legal definition of probable cause. The remainder of the bill would be helpful, as well.
It's hypocritical to say that you are for freedom and the Constitution, yet you feel the government has a right to stop you people and demand proof of their citizenship. I thought in the US everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty. This bill assumes the opposite.
Well, I always have my drivers license. But, to the best of my knowledge, that does not confirm citizenship or residency status.
What is AZ law regarding this matter? If legal status is required for a license, and the DMV is properly checking this status, then a license should be acceptable.
Use SS numbers. There was a database used by employers; I'm not sure if it's still in existence.

A reasonable belief that a person has committed a crime. The test the court of appeals employs to determine whether probable cause existed for purposes of arrest is whether facts and circumstances within the officer's knowledge are sufficient to warrant a prudent person to believe a suspect has committed, is committing, or is about to commit a crime.
