A state to avoid at all costs.
The state is crumbling big time at the local level, so they're focusing on national issues to distract voters (would be my guess).

A drivers License is not proof of citizenship, neither is a military ID. Birth Certificate issued by a state is no proof either according to many. This is going to be funny when they start rounding up seniors

I'm not convinced that will happen. Like I said, we need to see the legal definition of probable cause. The remainder of the bill would be helpful, as well.

Good point. AZ is in trouble, but doesn't make headlines like CA does due to the size of its GDP. But in terms of percentage (of GDP), well...

It's hypocritical to say that you are for freedom and the Constitution, yet you feel the government has a right to stop you people and demand proof of their citizenship. I thought in the US everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty. This bill assumes the opposite.

What is AZ law regarding this matter? If legal status is required for a license, and the DMV is properly checking this status, then a license should be acceptable.

Use SS numbers. There was a database used by employers; I'm not sure if it's still in existence.

Legal Definition of Probable Cause

Quote:
PROBABLE CAUSE

A reasonable belief that a person has committed a crime. The test the court of appeals employs to determine whether probable cause existed for purposes of arrest is whether facts and circumstances within the officer's knowledge are sufficient to warrant a prudent person to believe a suspect has committed, is committing, or is about to commit a crime.
