Yesterday, the nationwide marches received very little press; similar to the “historic” rally in DC in March. To my knowledge, none of the major networks covered it, other than to periodically show videos of the crowds, usually preceding a scheduled commercial.
I am reminded of the philosophical riddle: If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?
Good God, your posts are actually getting more ignorant.
You seem miserable.
You do realize that May 1 is a national holiday in Mexico don't you? That's a large part of what the Mexicans here are celebrating. It's a holiday in many countries which is why large groups of foreigners will gather even in the USA where they don't realize we have our own Labor Day. Ask most Mexicas living here when is "El Dia de Trabajadores" and they'll say May 1. They neither know or care about the one we celebrate in this country.
In Guatemala, they protested yesterday against violence:

Or, if pro illegal open border criminals march to protest a law designed to reduce their own unwanted uninvited illegal border jumper numbers in this country and even the liberally biased media didn't even care, was it a waste of uninvited unwanted illegal border jumper time?
I think most people have grown accustomed to seeing hundreds of foreigners out marching around for a day that is their own country's holiday. They do it every May 1 -- it's gotten to be no big deal. They would be marching on May 1 back home for something on this day.
It's a foreign Labor Day march and just like back home they try to find a special theme.

You do realize it is an international holiday that is celebrated in every continent.
It also commemorates the fight in the United States for the 8 hour work day.
Have you ever even been to these marches? If you did, you would see that various groups participate in the rallies. Many unions, as well as non-Hispanic organizations.
Its funny how you try to pass it off as a Mexican holiday, and then show various Hispanic nations, while omitting the celebrations in Europe and Asia.
Your holier than thou, cultural prejudice is stale as hell. Most of your posts aren't about the politics, it's just a steady attack against a culture.
You're fighting a battle fabricated in your mind. Read the AZ Bill before you figure out what you're actually protesting. G'nite.
Exactly, all those who are protesting Arizona's new immigration laws are using the "Racial Profiling" excuse to make Arizona's legislators look like a bunch of racists. There is no racism in those new laws, it only tells law enforcement officers, whenever an individual is stopped for a valid reason, either in traffic, or on any other type of calls, police officers should check anyone who is suspected of being an illegal alien to show a valid identification in order to verify that they are in the United States legally.
As a native Arizonan, I have nothing against immigrants of any kind, but we are sick and tired of illegals coming into our country and taking advantage of the freedoms and the benefits this country has given them. If they want to come into this country, they should do exactly what everyone else does, and do it legally, no special preference or privileges should be given to illegals who come in from Mexico and break our laws. On top of that, we are fed up with the federal government's lack of action to protect our borders, and I commend Russell Pearce (the author of SB 1070), the legislators who voted for those laws, and our Governor, for having the courage to put their feet down and say Enough Is Enough, and I hope every state follows through and come up with similar laws.

Elizabeth Schulte tells the history of May Day, a socialist holiday founded to honor the Haymarket Martyrs and celebrate international workers' solidarity.
It wouldn't be consistent of course for the millions of cheap labor immigrants here illegally to use the American Labor Day since if anything they are here to bring down the American worker, end our prosperity by bringing wages to rock bottom and push Americans workers out of jobs. Unlimited and very massive immigration is to destroy the American worker.
U.S. DOL - The History of Labor Day (http://www.dol.gov/opa/aboutdol/laborday.htm - broken link)
Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.
