It was a reality hit to me, big time.
I worked in a Production/Logistics Center for 36 years for a National Company. I was on the Safety Committee for 35 of those years. More than once I have read stories of South American pilots coming into the USA and they did not speak enough English to safely communicate with Air Traffic Controllers. Finally a full sized Jet from Argentina crashed when the pilots could not make the Controllers understand their problem. Two years ago a Chinese pilot nearly crashed in London and now China is hiring English speaking pilots from English speaking countries.

NOW IT IS INTERNATIONAL LAW, ALL PILOTS FROM EVERY COUNTRY MUST SPEAK ENGLISH ON INTERNATIONAL FIGHTS.

I argued with my supervisors we could not hire people to run high speed equipment or work around it if they could not speak English in the event of an accident. If someone was caught in a machine and his co worker does not speak English someone might die. I argued the same thing in the Warehouse driving 3 TON fork trucks.

Management agreed with me and any hispanic that was hired had to be able to communicate and understand the English Language and the company was backed by our Safety Committee and State and Federal Laws.

Short and sweet - The truth is they have this entitlement mentality because we have allowed too many illegal AND legal hispanics to immigrate to our nation. The legal ones are often anchor babies or those with visas who's sympathies do not lie with this country in the least. They never intended to become American other than by name. They are merely leeches. So now that both illegal and legal hispanics have been allowed to amass and proliferate their numbers ILLEGAL hispanics have a backing and a support network of LEGAL hispanics who still hold an allegiance to their latin nations of origins and the culture that those nations produce....so at this point, these LEGAL hispanics speak on behalf of the criminal aliens, and will no doubt vote on their behalf as well. And its because we demand no sense of nationalism from our immigrants.

And not to defend illegals - not ALL of them have this entitlement attitude. It's more in the pandering politicians and others who hope to gain from having open borders. Groups like La Raza have their own motives, their own agenda.

If you actually know illegals, you know that a lot of them originally intended to go home at some point anyhow, just wanted an opportunity to get some money. A lot of illegals kind of want to go home - after all there's no place like home but they keep hearing politicians bring up amnesty and figure they should wait to get in on it, after all it would allow them to bring long lost loved ones to the USA instead of having to go home to be with them again.

Some are torn. They love their homeland, they prefer it's language and culture, it's soul but they also like the easy life in the USA. The money here is better, work isn't so hard, and often they just kind of ended up getting a little settled in. Sort of like when we go somewhere for vacation and think we don't want to go back home because we were having such a great time.

One remedy to the corruption in Washington, DC, is a return to the "bad" old days when only registered property owners who had paid their taxes could vote and hold office.
Think about it.
No recipient, no parasite, no entitled person could vote nor hold public office.
I wonder how long it would take THAT Congress to gut Socialist Insecurity and all other entitlement programs?

Sure - great idea there - and disenfranchise how many us citizens who don't own property in the process?

Finally! An intelligent, educated person.

Hispanic is not a race.

I don't know what they're so upset about. They already have way more freebies and opportunities than America gave to, say, Italians, Poles, and Jews. My ancestors with those bloodlines had to struggle very hard. No signs were in Italian, Polish, or Hebrew. In those households, speaking the native tongue of the mother country was frowned upon. English was the way. It seems like today's immigrants are the complete opposite.

The Mexicans I know think it is funny that they are here illegally and are proud to know they are getting away with it. I am not saying that all feel that way, but just the ones I know. Just like other races, they have eras and times when they will have a sense of pride, Mexicans have that going on right now in the USA. Black people have it, Filipinos have "PINOY pride" and white people could have it but they would be called racists, haha. I'm black and I know that racial pride is a powerful thing. Mexicans have their whole "Viva la raza" thing going on and they love to do it in the face of people that they think are racists.

The best thing to do is to show them love and show all people love so they realize that you don't give a flying you-know-what if they are red, brown, white or black.

Well, "Chief"..I would like to know how you will differentiate between an illegal alien from someone who has every legal right to be here?

They'll be the ones screaming "si, si puede" along with their ethnocentric sympathizers.

I however do not condone citizens taking the law into their own hands.

Not a sympathizer in the least bit, Chicago, but let's hope it doesn't get this far or drastic.
