Springfield rated among top job markets -- for certain jobs - Springfield, IL - The State Journal-Register

Looks like these two metro areas are some of the tops if you are looking for a job in health care, sales, the trucking industry or the restaurant business. Most of the metro areas were small, excluding Hartford and San Jose.

I suspect that the "drivers" for ease of getting hired in some of those towns are VERY different, like in San Jose no one wants to bother with a lower paying job as the cost of living is so high / in-your-face aspect of internet bajillionaires is so close while other towns have so small a population base that is around full time that only seasonal employment is the norm...

I know that IT recruiters often have to offer "enticements" to work in some of the downstate markets that are very much dominated by a single employer as if things "don't work out" you need to have moving expenses covered. That may be a factor for other fields too...
