Default Apartments in the Decatur Area?

Hi
I am a 26 year old veteran with a wife a german shepherd and a cat. We are moving back here from St.Louis so that I can use my Illinois Veteran Grant to go to school here at the Richland Community College in Decatur. We are in desperate need of a pet friendly 1 or 2 bedroom for up to 650 dollars that is in a decent area and fairly close to the college. We would prefer forsyth or mt zion but unfortuantely we have been looking on the internet and driving around without any luck. We are currently living with my parents in Macon and it is getting ridiculous... We need to find a decent place within the next m onth so PLEASE HELP! thanks

When I lived in Decatur, I lived in Timber Cove Apartments (near Lost Bridge/S. Country Club Rd)for a few years and they were good for the most part. They allow pets, but you have to pay a pet deposit and your rent goes up a bit. It has been a few years since I lived there, so I don't know if the area has changed at all, or if buildings were remodeled or not, but they are worth a look.
