I'd also recommend Jasper IN. Nice small town put plenty of things to do. Good schools. Low crime. Jasper Memorial Hospital & the affiliates are big employers in the area.

I would suggest Columbus. Great schools, rural area surrounding the city. If you are looking for something progressive, I would try Bloomington. Both towns are an hour away from Indianapolis.

Fort Wayne seems to be filled with hospitals and health care. Very easy to live in the country and drive in to work.

BTW, ive never been in Indiana.
I am in the Bloomington area and know two nurses and one respiratory therapist who have had trouble getting jobs here in Monroe County. The respiratory therapist found a job in Columbus, IN. The nurses are still out of work because they can't relocate. One is trying to get her CNA to get work. I would advise trying to find work before moving if possible.

My aunt lived in Franklin and loved it there. Plus, it was an easy commute to Indianapolis, which would have more jobs in healthcare. Evansville and Princeton seem nice too.
