I'm relocating to Evansville from Louisville for my job and I'm trying to find comparable apartments to live in from where I am relocating. I have checked out the Reserve and Pavillion lakes so far. I would say The Reserve is leading so far. Any other places that would offer larger two to three bedroom apartments that accept dogs that I might look at? Everyone keeps telling me to look deeper into Newburgh. Any names of complexes there that might be recommended?

I hope your screen name is not a reference to Hendo KY; that would be an unacceptable downgrade from Louisville............but I digress.

Lakeshore Apartments is off the Lloyd, just east of 164 in that same general area as Reserve.

I have heard good things about this place, but I think it would be a step down from the Reserve.

Thanks for these places. I live in 1700 sf in NE Louisville and was hoping for similar space. I might still checkout Lakeshore though because I always see them from Expressway.

And yes, I'm from Hendo originally. I left when I was 18 and I'm not thrilled about being back but Evansville is where the promotion is so I will make due for these next couple of years.

Evansville is a nice city.
Had the chance to visit it in the fall.
Its great to see I-69 getting done and seeing the economic benefits it will bring.
Not to mention Evansville's downtown is strong and the casino boats are nice.
If i were you i wouldnt look so down on Evansville. Heck it might be better than you expect.

I used to live in Henderson, I wouldn't mind a return to Evansville, a town I regularly visit and do enjoy, but I would never ever ever voluntarily move back to Henderson. I hate that place.

Lakeshore seems like a nice place, I know how infrequently Evansville comes up on this forum, so hopefully someone is more more well-versed in bigger spaces comes along. Most of my pals in Evansville lived in smaller spaces, or rented a house or have bought a house.

I know Evansville very well. I grew up in Henderson. Everything in the tri state area is the same basically. Having lived in cities like Seattle and Louisville, Evansville is a bit of a stepdown, however the job opportunity is not.

Agreed big time. Hopefully you can get back to Louisville if you desire.

Default My two cents...

Ashley Pointe is pretty nice, roomy apartments, quiet and affordable although not "luxury" apartments if that's what you're looking for. Worth taking a look at though.

Sugar Mill Creek also has large apartments/townhomes in a good location although I have not heard good things about the management. Used to be nicer though, I don't think they've been maintained as well as they could have been.

Have heard good things about Lakeshore.

Beaver Creek in Newburgh are also very nice, more along the lines of the Reserve.
