Since we are getting back to that cumbersome cycle of "no it's the lefts fault, they're socialists!" and "no it's the right's fault they're bigots" which is about as enlightening as "taste great!" "less filling" how about we get back to the thread topic. I'll share a post found worthy of sharing in the NC forum discussing a similar law.

They're about control ... and it's the type of control that not only "Divides and Conquers" communities, but leads to Totalitarianism.

There is a "Cultural Cannon" to every place... and human beings use it to adapt and socialize together so they can create community. The "cultural cannon" is huge and it's fine as long as it foster humane values. But when it becomes a bastion of psychological repression in the name of religious dogma and Fundamentalism, then the transformative Creative Psyche becomes rigid. egotistical, and so narrow-minded that they gladly accept Fascism and Totalitarianism.

The New World Order is Fascism. It's Totalitarianism. It creates ignorance and fear. It represses and kills. We MUST begin addressing CULTURE.
Egotistical music and art is NOT in your best interests.
And every time we judge or shame a neighbor over anything, their beliefs, their ethnicity, their sexuality, their whatever... what we're actually doing is putting nails in our own coffin.
  • Chest beating Gangsta Rap messages is prison for the human spirit.
  • Greedy worshipers of the stock market who value "more" without considering clean water or the health of their neighbors only cycle us into more of the devastations of the past.
  • Mental health plummets.
  • Suicide rates rise.
  • Drug addiction and alcoholism increases

We need art and literature and music that sets the spirit and the mind free.
We need more humanity and less fear... or .. else...
And we DESPERATELY need new innovative ideas about how to make the life of the community more attractive, less fearful, and more fun and productive for people.

These "Laws" use flawed theology and ignorance.
(The Bible has over 800 revisions and is written to be understood allegorically and mystically. The Apostle Paul is read to clearly state that it's not to be read literally. HOW IN THE WORLD CAN ANYONE RAPE AN ANGEL???? )

I won't go into theology here, but Christians are supposed to adhere to the NEW Testament... and Jesus clearly stated to let them be. He never condemned homosexuality. Science and genetics prove that it's in nature. The Old Testament is part of the Torah. To fully understand the Torah you need a Rabi. Revered 12 Century Rabi Moshe ben Maimon stated that the more absurd a Biblical story is, the more MYSTICAL it its. (NOT literal.)

We're being led down a merry trail with these legislations.
I wouldn't be surprise if they're not deflecting our attention elsewhere.
In Argentina when people began asking questions about what was happening to the money, calls were made and suddenly people began being dropped out of helicopters.

This is a DANGEROUS sign the super rich Social Engineers are taking us BACKWARDS ... for their own purpose... which isn't good for the vast majority of all Americans.
Though I don't agree with every point made its nice to see somebody who can actually see the bigger picture beyond feeble minded political affiliations to what's really going on behind the scenes.

STARTING to go off the deep end? They are already well off it! As I said in an earlier post, this country has turned into a nation of victims. White cop pulls over a black guy, he's racial profiling, the black man is a victim. A bakery won't bake you rainbow cake? They are discriminating because you are gay, you're a victim. Boy feels he should have been born a girl and wants to use the girl's bathroom at school but can't, he's a victim...its pathetic and disgusting what the PC liberals have done to this country. Time to take it back. I also said earlier we are headed for another civil war, and we are indeed. It may not be a physical war but at some point, the majority of people will be tired of being pushed around by the minority trying to impose their will and will take action. Whether that be states banding together and breaking off from the rest of the US or another solution, its going to happen sooner than later.

Just curious, who is the "majority" and "minority" to you? If I had to guess I'd say blacks, gays, transgenders, and feminist women are the minority, and then straight white men and straight white women are the majority?

It's a good thing whites don't only vote for whites isn't it? After all, it was the white vote that put the first black president in office.

Cruz, Rubio and Carson -- none of them stand a snowball's chance. Walker - maybe, but I have doubts. The most electable of the probable GOP candidates, IMO, is Jeb, but he may have hurt himself by coming out in support today of Pence and RFRA. There's also the Bush fatigue factor. I will say, though, that the Dems need a better candidate than Hillary Clinton.

Yeah society just can't keep from ****ting all over straight white men. They just can't catch a break.

Public opinion has changed. This law is unnecessary. Can't understand why the candidates for the Republican Party jumped on to support this crazy law. Why are Republicans so out of touch with the majority of opinions today? They seem to try to be contrarians. The public should take note of these bible thumpers who are trying to write laws we don't need to take up time they could use on something more important. Don't these clowns have anything else to do that is constructive?

Not exactly. On this issue the country is remarkably united.

Around 70% of the country is in favor of workplace non-discrimination protection for LGBT people at the federal level.
Opinion: Workplace equality for gays gets serious support - CNN.com

A majority of Republicans support it.

There is majority support in every congressional district.
Polls say ENDA has majority support in every congressional district - The Washington Post

This is why you are seeing such a strong reaction to this bad law, even in traditionally conservative Indiana. The vast majority of America opposes this nonsensical law and also oppose discrimination.

This fight is about one thing only, and that is the inability of the far right social conservative wing of the Republican party to realize that they only speak for a small minority.

I love it. You keep right on believing that, same as you did when Mitt the Twitt put up his Presidency Web Page, just before FOX changed their minds and said he lost, in the last election. Nothing like a bit of "Drama" election night, and a good laugh. Hope you saved that "Mission Accomplished" banner.

I think its great that you folks get a "Bone" thrown to you once in a while. Look what it does for you. Brings out the crazies everywhere, because they think there was some "Meat" on the bone. The crazies smell a little of what they think is blood, and out they come, showing everyone what fools they are, and setting themselves back for a few years more. The Nation looks on Indiana and some of the other "Crazy" leadership States, and get a very clear Picture of what the Republicans are waiting to do on a larger scale.

They already lost the Women's vote, by trying to take away their rights, they don't have the Black portion of votes, they don't have the Hispanic Communities votes, and they have now driven all the nails they need to have zero of Gay Community votes. To top it off, they are now split more in their own Party, with each division not knowing what to do next. As an Independent, I am sitting here laughing my butt off. You guys put a whole new meaning in "Shooting Yourselves in the Foot." Your now using high capacity magazines and keep doing it over and over. And the best part of all? You can't see it coming.

Carry on....
