I am hoping to find a teaching job in Indiana because I really want to move back there. Here in AZ there are quite a few districts that treat teachers badly and don't give them any support. I worked in one my first year of teaching and had no mentor teacher and was told by the principal not to ask for help. I have worked in a couple of these districts and don't want to work in another one. I was wondering if there are any districts I should avoid.

I have not worked in IPS schools, but I do substitute teach in Avon sometimes. I have been very impressed so far with Avon schools. I used to teach in Alabama before we moved back to IN, and I know just what you are talking about getting NO support.

There was just a feature article in the Indianapolis Star newspaper about IPS schools, you may want to read it. You can probably find it at indystar.com
