We are going up to Indiana Beach tomorrow with some friends of ours. We have never been so I don't know what to expect. I have a 4 & 7 year old. Any tips, suggestions or good info you can give me? Thanks!

Well, looks like too late to reply for your needs, but in hopes of helping others, will say that have only been once, and seemed to me its a typical amusement park. Nice rides, some very good - yet negs (to me) are the repetitive shows [granted, they need to be, but still,,, to that extent? sorry, I like some spontaneity in these events], and the cost. Good/bad is that you pay for this and/or that parts of the park; rides, water, etc. Food is typical fare, and cost - you are captive, and can not picnic in the parking lot. When first enter, don't seem too well laid out - not much directions/signs to help the new persons get to proper place. Corn dogs are quite good! There are over 20 some rides, if recall correctly. Oh, btw, there really is not that much of a 'beach' at the place... How did ya like the place?

ps: if interested, there is a good winery nearby too - Whyte Horse Winery | An Indiana Winery in Monticello, Indiana

Hi! Thanks for replying Well, I agree with you- typical amusement park. Luckily at my kids ages, it doesn't take much to make them happy. We all had a good time though. We had a couple of favorite rides & the some were ok. Many were not operating. My friends have a 2 year old so the little kiddy park was good for him. I have to say, I don't think I would swim at the 'beach'. The water was incredibly dirty & after seeing about 200 or so carp the size of my friends 2 years old I wasn't about to get in that water! LOL We got there about 11 & it was virtually empty but by 4, when we left, you could barely walk there were so many people. Yup, it wasn't cheap- $100 for the 4 of us just for a 'ride pass' (no water park/activities) My fault for not purchasing tickets online & getting the discount.

Unfortuntely, my 7 year old drank 1 too many slushies & threw up in the car on the way home At least he didn't do it on a ride, LOL.

But overall, an enjoyable afternoon

Well, look at it this way - he had thrown up on the ride you would not have to clean the inside of your car

$100 for the 4 of you??? I had not realized that prices have gone up that much. However, that being said I don't think that I've been there now in over 20 years I used to have fun going there as a teen with a bunch of my friends.

or listen to my husband stress about 'blue slushie puke on light tan interior' for and hour and a half. I assured him it would come out- I consider myself a specialist in kid vomit stains (hey, any mom becomes one, LOL!)
