Plainfield, Avon want parks if townships are dissolved | IndyStar.com | The Indianapolis Star

If it really is to save taxpayers money and streamlive government I am for it. I would love to see Plainfield take over Hummel Park. Plainfield will have big plans for Hummel.

Are you going to be happy to see Townships dissolve?

Well, if the GOP is all about less government, then a majority of this state should be applauding this measure.

But it will stand to see if it is a good thing. I have yet to see in my lifetime where government has reduced spending and kept it that way.

With Indiana being so rural in many areas it will hurt those communities more with the loss of local service. But we need to cut the fat in more areas and doing away with the children's home like Daniels wants to isn't a good thing in my mind. Maybe keeping one township open to handle poor relief and help the volunteer fire depts would be a good thing in each county.
