I know most of America can't tell the difference between us but that's fine, I just suggest they visit the two. Living in Cincinnati has allowed me to appreciate Indianapolis a lot more. CinciNASTY looks like a "has seen better days" industrial wasteland that has never shaken its rust belt image and its as if the whole city is one large ghetto full of thugs and rednecks. At least Indy's ghetto is concentrated on one side Jesus Christ. As a matter of fact, I'm just going to say that all of Ohio sucks compared to Indiana, they have Cleveland which I've been told is worse than Cinci. I may talk crap about Indianapolis but that's ok, I can do that. Because its my home and I love it. It may not be New York, L.A, or Chicago, but at least its not Cincinnati, Detroit, Cleveland or Louisville.

<3 Indianapolis
I hate it when people call it "Cinci".

I've been there and I've lived in Indianapolis and they are both about the same as far as I am concerned. Most probably something has happened that has precipitated these feelings. You are probably missing your friends back home and the people you have been meeting do not "measure up".

Cincinnati has the river front, which I think is very nice. Indianapolis has the canal. You know, every place has its good points and its bad. Any big city is going to have its "ghetto" area these days, so that is something you just have to deal with.

I do agree with you about Louisville though. Man, I dislike that town.

I never liked referring to our state capital as Indy .. it's lazy. For that matter, I don't call Los Angeles LA either when speaking to people. Same with Cincinnati.

I can have an enjoyable long weekend in either Cincinnati or Indianapolis, but there's no Jungle Jim's in Indy.

The sad thing is that the OP is in Northern Kentucky, but hasn't figured that out yet.
