I agree in principle with what you're saying, but I'd rather we get there because of common sense and not super high gas prices that'll thwart this relatively slow recovery we're going through. Because if we have round 2 of the 2008 meltdown gas could go up to $10 a gallon and we still won't get the transit we need and deserve.

I think every 5 cents we increase gasoline it cost our economy like 10B dollars or something really high like that.
So ya common sense on Mass Transit not 5$ gasoline plz its already expensive to fill up my truck.

It was your decision to buy a gas guzzling truck while gas prices are volatile. If you buy a gas guzzling truck, or move 30 miles from your job, don't cry when gas becomes too expensive.

i won't i already have a plan for that.
Fuel Efficent car in the summer. Maybe even a Chevy Volt cause i do like the ideas and dynamics of the vehicle. if i commute under 30 miles a day i can go gas free.
Truck in the winter when we have snow and you need 4WD.

not now but in the future. I am already saving up money and no i wouldn't buy a new volt. Ill probably get a reliable used 4 cylinder.

As i suspected. 3.50 A gallon now going up towards 4$ hope you filled up a silo full of cheap gasoline!
