Just curious, which MLB team is the most popular in Indianapolis? I'd imagine it would be between the White Sox, Cubs, Reds and Tigers.

This has been discussed before. Indy is largely divided between the Cubs and Reds, with a smattering of Cards and White Sox fans, and just a few Tigers fans.

Despite what Cubs fans will say, this is still Reds country. Reds media market, Indians have been associated with the reds 2-1 over any other big league team and people just grew up listening and watching the reds play.

as an aside, the cubs, sox, and reds all claim this as their home market so if you subscribe to mlb.tv, you don't get any of those games if you live in indy.

Even though I know better I voted for the Tigers because im from Michigan. I always liked the fact that Sparky Anderson won World series with the Tigers and Reds. I see alot more support for the Reds in Indy than any other MLB team by far. The proximity to Cincinatti and the absolute kicker is when you go to Indians games and realize that the Indians were a long time farm team to the Reds and the halls of Victory field are plastered with great Reds players.

Indianapolis is definately Reds territory

Sox and Cubs are more popular in Northwest Indiana and surrounding areas to a lesser extent, much less so everywhere else. I grew up there and it was virtually all Cubs or Sox with a smattering of Brewers fans here and there.
