Does anyone know anything about this subdivision/area? Off of 63rd and Sunnyside. We are looking at a home in that area, but I have heard some negative feedback on the neighborhood. I know the closer to Pendleton Pike you get, the worse the neighborhoods get. I realize "bad" is all relative, but I don't want to have to deal with vandalism, property damage, etc. anymore than usual. Thanks!

I can't place the subdivision exactly, but I'm familiar with the area and don't recall seeing any bad areas. Yes, it's close to Pendleton Pike, but Pendleton Pike as you move out toward Oaklandon is pretty decent, really.

Are schools a concern?

No schools are not a concern at this moment. Have just heard mixed reviews about thr neighborhood going south. Its a huge subdivision with almost 600 homes, so naturally there will be a few bad apples.

Ive never lived there but My children went to preschool with kids from there and I brought mine over there to play with friends a few times. It seems like a nice sub division the homes are nice and even though its a vynil village it doesnt seem so cookie cutter. As a neighborhood it does have a little character and it seems quiet. Not a bad location but I dont know if I could completely trust that going forward like ya say it is close to PP and a busy shopping center thats right there, of course you might like that convinience.

It's a nice area. You're close to the YMCA and fairly close to good shopping and restaurants. To be blunt, you wanna know if it's "safe", it's a mixed area but the majority is white.

The population of the local school is 20% white 30% black and 40% Hispanic...there has been increased crime around those shopping areas...are there other places you are looking both in and outside of Marion county?
