I am having a terrible time finding information on summer programs (aside from the YMCA) in the Franklin Township area - not Franklin, Indiana, but Franklin Township in Marion County.
Is anyone from the area that can give suggestions? We are moving from Johnson County which had a community center and other programs available but I don't know where to even begin looking for summer care/programs in the new area we are moving to.

Thanks in advance

More specifics are really needed. Are you looking for child care type programs like all day or just supplemental day activities? Ages? Contact the church schools/churches for some basic info and whatever school they are going to our will be going to might have some info. I remember there is a local newspaper, Franklin Township Informer, that might give you some clues. The Indianapolis Star used to have info on summer programs as an annual summer feature. I think the Indianapolis Monthly also ran a story on summer programs but these could be more general and cover other areas.

Thanks Sweetana3.
I am looking for an all day program for my 11 year old. I did contact the school, they just told me about the ymca program and a church program. I will check out this FT Informer and the Indy Star. Thanks

Indy Parks have a few day camps. I just took a quick look at the guide we picked up for our kids and it looks like Garfield Park is the closest to that area that has full day camps, but only for about 4 or 5 weeks. I think the guide is also online.

And depending on your willingness to drive or where you work the IMA has a good summer camp that I think is all day as well.

As a former ft resident, you are going to Perry township or beech grove
