Re: traffic, housing costs and outdoors. Your perception depends on what you're used to. Coming from Denver, I found Indy so much easier to get around and more affordable. And as I've said before, the money you save here will pay for a lot of vacations.

It's more expensive than Oklahoma City, but I would get a COL adjustment. Once my wife starts working, the vacations will be plentiful.

That's not correct. Your degree will say "Indiana University" or "Purdue University" on it depending on your major and other factors. Yes the school is ranked differently than their main campus, but the degrees look the same.

Again, not correct, see my above post.

No one is showing anyone physical copies of their degrees, so that's irrelevant. The college you attended is still IUPUI and interviewers are going to know that you didn't' actually go to IU Bloomington or Purdue Lafayette.

They are also, in most cases, not going to care.

Not after your career is established but it will matter when searching for your first job. And your first job is the hardest to get.

No, not really. In most cases, it just doesn't matter all that much. Sure, if you're an engineer, that Purdue degree will open more doors than an engineering degree from USI. In general, no, it just doesn't matter all that much. I say that as someone who has an undergrad degree from a directional school who makes hiring decisions and know others who also make hiring decisions, entry level and mid-career levels.

No, my resume says graduate of Purdue University School of Engineering - which is 100 % true no matter which campus it was attained at.
