I will be relocating to Indy within the next few months to attend school at IUPUI. I'm seeking penpals who can share their knowledge of Indy with me.

you can hit me up also. Besides being in Indy I have also been an on and off student at IUPUI. (Military keeps on interrupting my education)

Hey Zig,
What can you tell me about IUPUI? I'm transferring from Univ of Cincinnati. I've only been to the school once for Campus Day and it seems like cool school lol ;-) What branch of the military are you in? I've been trying to get a government job with DFAS in Indy. When you're able to attend school what are you studying? I was wanting to finish my Bachelor's in Social Work but the contact person at IUPUI keeps blowing me off so I'm trying to look at other majors. Something that does NOT require me to be on the phone for 8 hrs a day! lol ;-)

Depending on the degree you're after, I finished my degree online while I pursued my career. I had been at a state school and all of my credits transferred when I switched. It was great because you're able to do the course work when it's convenient for you as long as you meet the deadlines. You never step foot in a class room - everything is submitted online. It's pretty inexpensive too. I totally recommend it!

That is so irritating! I wanted to transfer from Ivy Tech to IUPUI and got blown off too despite my wonderful grades. I gave up after three admission applications and numerous calls. I'll get my bachelor's at Ball State where all my credits will transfer (paralegal studies major).

I too like online classes. Some think that it's the easy way out but I disagree. I learn so much more online and I retain it.

Indy itself is a great town, but I do love Cincinnati. I grew up not far from it but still in Indiana. I don't think Indianapolis has the architectural detail downtown as Cincinnati does, but I still love it. Great restaurants and shopping. I'm probably in the minority but I don't like Broad Ripple. Just feels too much like my hometown which I hated, but that's personal. Fresh Foods is a great place to go to but can be pricey. Au bon pain near IU Med Center is a great place for coffee and pastries in the morning.
