Did Facebook recently change their policy or security features?

I had made no recent changes, but I just found that my photos (until I manually changed my photo security) were available to all.

Because it's facebook and they just don't give a damn what users want, and what you don't want to share. This is just yet another of a long long list of such events.............

Facebook again doesn't give a damn about your privacy or security

I saw this as a different problem, so I asked a question.

You can't completely and permanently remove anything from facebook. They save all the data, so once you post it, it is forever.

NYLooking, your photos aren't really private even if you have them set to private anyway. If someone who knows you wants to see some of your photos for whatever reason (someone was talking about them, the boss heard you had something questionable, etc..) they just get someone else that does have access to your photos to copy them or take screen shots of your posts and email them to them.....happens all the time. The point is if you don't want others to see it or read/hear what you said, don't post it on facebook but even better yet just don't have facebook so you don't have that problem to begin with.

I don't understand all this paranoia regarding Facebook, if you don't post the information they will not have it, it is really simple, but I guess it is beyond the comprehension of some people.

Anything you ever post on Internet is forever, it isn't just Facebook.
Dude111 should know this very well(waybackmachine?).

Never post anything on the Net, someone unintended may read it.
Never own a car, someone can trace your License Plates.
Never own a house, someone can do a property search.
Never go in any store, they all have cameras.
Never walk down the street, there are cameras everywhere.
In fact, never leave the house, someone may see you or take your picture.
You don't even want to think about the security risks of having a job.

If you choose to be paranoid there are no limits.
