I'm looking for a good homepage, preferably with some news on it. What do you use?

For my start page I use:

about:blank

Why? because my needs change every time I bring the browser up and news isn't going to change that fast....

What type of news? Local? National? International? Environmental? Sports? Political?

Same one I use. Contains all the news worth printing.

Generally, when I open a browser window or tab, I already know what site I intend to visit. Between RoboForm, the bookmark toolbar and the Google search box, I have no reason whatsoever to have the same page load every time I open a browser window or new tab.

Laptop w/Win8:
In the "Modern Interface" I just left it at Bing. Don't use it much.
On the "Desktop Interface" both browsers (IE and FF) are set to Yahoo.

I've been using iGoogle for years, but they have decided that it will be abolished in November. I guess it is not as flashy as Apps for 12-yeai-olds, so it no longer meets their target market. I can choose from hundreds of gadgets to appear on opening, like weather, news, ball scores, form fields for wikipedia and dictionary, etc.

Another iGoogle user here. I really like it; I'm used to it. I imagine that after November this year, Google expects us to switch over to Google Plus?
