I've had a lot of luck with it both selling and buying. You need patience for either. I managed to find the stock premium rims for my car, $150 total. They retail for $250 each....
Got rid of broken record player and used mattress in the free section. LOL
I do a fair amount of stuff on Craigslist.
You have to take it as it is, and if you cannot roll with the flakes, you also won't get to meet some great, fun people.
Recently someone posted an American Girl for $30. I asked why so cheap and she said she didnt know much about them but had a $50 offer. I told her they are $110 brand new. I didnt end up with the doll but im amazed people do no research before they sell.
Then someone had cloth diapers for $85 posted over a month ago. I asked if theyd go lower ($50) and the husband said hed only go to $75. You have to be willing to work with people!
Thats just 2 recent events. We have had 2 lemon vehicles, crazy nanny jobs, people claim we didnt have an item, etc
Haven't had much luck with Craigslist. I tried selling a car and got mostly flakes and tire kickers. In my area, I've found that cars that are priced under $5000 tend to sell a lot easier.
I will go on there and just browse every now and then. I would rather go to garage sales and yard sales as opposed to Craig's list.
I've never had luck with CL and gave up long ago. Too many flakes...
I haven't had much trouble with that. I try and be careful, my schedule is pretty flexible and I'm usully home. I'll give them general area and tell them anytime is good. I'll give them exact address after they give me time. This way they can't guess when I'm not going to be here if they are fishing for that information.
