Here are a few that I have in my portfolio:

COP Conoco Phillip
PFE Pfizer
XOM Exxon

Of coarse everything is relative, my idea of high and yours could be entirely different. Here is a little snapshot of Exxon:

This is why it's a very poor choice to chase high dividends like these. You're better off in Vegas.

but you know the drill , they don't care what is happening to the investment as long as the dividend is payed.

Here's a novel idea. Dividend not enough? Sell off a fraction of your principal.

REM pays a 15% dividend but look how its price return BOMBED versus the S&P. There's a term for this. It's called SLIGHT OF HAND! Distract you with the high dividend as your principal erodes.
