Irrelevant. Where prices can be raised American manufactor’s are not leaving money on the table. Their prices are now comparable because they can be. It is no different then asking less for rent because you have no mortgage and others do. Nope you get what markets will allow you
When the playing field equalizes then competition can start....President Trump is correct. China can now compete...they no longer need the handicap.

The Bahamian government charges a tariff of about $1 per bottle of imported beer. For locally brewed beer Bahamian brewers simply match the post-tariff price for imported beer. Free $1 extra profit per bottle. I can buy Bahamian beer about $1 per bottle cheaper in Florida than next door to the brewery in the Bahamas. Tariffs are a great way to reward cronies (and oneself in some cases) and letting the voters pay for it.
Costs are passed on to consumers. I've seen it in one segment, bicycle sales. Up to 25% price increases as a result of the trade war w/China starting last year.
It has not affected me. I bought nothing recently unless you mean my Clint Eastwood DVDs or my brand new pickleball rackets/balls. Very little effect actually.

This isn't about you, this is a general economic reality that is happening for various categories of goods. What do you think the tariffs announced previously have been about? Not *all* goods. But of the ones they do affect the costs are higher and consumers are paying more, that's a fact, and that was the point.
much ado about nothing... markets are pairing losses as we speak! Small Caps are on the verge of turning positive for the day. International is another story though.

I thought it was a buying opportunity, but I didn’t buy any. I got up too late, I’ve heard it was down 475 early this morning.
If I buy a bike made in America will all the components be made in America as well? What about the alloys, plastics etc? When people spew buy American they often like the background to understand truthfully the landscape of global trade
