It seems like we been pretty dry for some time. Never mind the heat. I wonder what this means for the upcoming winter. I hope it is not another cold one.

since this is my first summer here, is there supposed to be a rainy season in the summer? Back in NC, July and August were usually very dry.

Hurricane season peaks in September, so we typically see more rain after then.

Yes - it's supposed to be the rainy season:

Climate in Jacksonville, Florida

I know that some local areas have had some rain - but we haven't had any out here at the beaches for almost 3 weeks now (plants/trees are really suffering - we've already lost a few "drought resistant" natives). Let's hope we get lots of rain soon. Robyn
