Have you seen a tooth crown come out 3 times in less than one year. My husband went to the dentist at the end of July last year to have the crown. But it came out a few days later. The second time is september when we was in China. This morning it came out again. What can he do? When we went to the dentist. It was unbelievable that the dentist did not want to fix the crown without charging extra money. Should he take care of his work? I wish my husband can find the another dentist before the crown comes out the fouth time. I do not want to go there 11th avenue south Jacksonville any more. One of wemen was mean today.

Its time to cut losses. If he will not service work he has done than this is not the dentist for you. I don't mean something falling out after time or from misuse. From what you are saying you are throwing good money after bad. (I am not sure that is how the saying goes.) It is time to cut losses find a new dentist and explain your plight to them they may help you out by reducing their fees to help correct the issue. Again find a new dentist.

The nurses with SmileCare are awful, I can def. say that much. Some of the dentists are hit or miss, but the nurses were really bad.

I am an office manager at a dental office, YES that dentist should back up his work for free. That is very strange that it came off 3 times!! I would be taking that crown in and tell your husband he needs to have a one on one with the dentist and ask them what kind of cement they are using. I am curious to what they are using. That should not be happening.

God I hate trying to find a decent (and honest) dentist, its like pullung teeth (pun). It seems like most I get are just out to make money by billing your insurance with unnecessary "busy" work they've done instead of doing what's best for the patient. They'll fill teeth that they KNOW will need a crown or root canal in mere months just to "see what happens", a lot wont stand by their work if it fails, many wont use (or will never even suggest) using sealant on your teeth to prevent decay in the first place, etc.

Think about it. They wont make any money if they're not doing any work besides cleanings & other small procedures, so they want you in that chair as often as possible.

Dont take it the wrong way. I know there are a lot that are in fact honest, but man. There are A LOT that aren't too. I personally think a lot of the industry is all a big racket, but thats my personal opinion.

Best thing to do is educate yourself & demand every tooth gets sealed, even with your kids. The younger the better. And take care of your teeth. Prevention is the key & if you feel the dentist doesnt have you or your family's best interest in mind, go somewhere else.

Don't call the dental office personnel "Nurses"....please! I would bet they are not nurses, but rather unlicensed staff with minimal education and training.
