Then, get this! the association sends out a letter saying we are not even allowed to have potted plants on our own property! There are several condo's in here that do not pay their fees so us others keep getting accessed higher and higher, not sure what is going to happen in here, only way to buy one is cash, we paid 132,000 and could not even sell it for 70,000 because the bank will not loan a penny on them!!!

I also live in Greenstone on the first floor. The sales person assured me I would not hear noise above me and was debating between here and the townhouses next door. I bought the model and like the furnishings a lot more in the condo so I settled with that. A month after moving in the unit above me was purchased. The livability in my condo brings me to tears ever since they moved in. It like having roomates that you know exactly which room they are in and what they are doing, and when there home and not home. I hear every foot step, dog bark, sexy time, fight or door slam, I hear everything. What was a 7 for noise has increased to a 10 since they installed hardwood floors. The HOA is persuing them, but utimalty told me there is no legal action they will take and my best option is to persue a civil suit. I went back to the builder and they stated they exceed sound codes and basically take a hike. My home is vertually unlivable and unsettling. You work so hard do all the right things and in the end get taken advantage of. What happened to honesty, morals and hard work, everything is for a quick buck these days. Now I don't want to live here, I can't rent it in this state, can't sell it, so forclosure is the only way to get out from under it.

I'm so sorry that those who bought in Greenstone are having such terrible problems. Your deplorable living conditions seem to overshadow the fact that your are way underwater on your loan. Thank you for steering others away from a purchase nightmare. It's truely a double edge sword for you'all because in speaking the truth you have detered others from buying, but the lack of buyers continues your woes of living in a sparsely occupied development. Financing continues to be a problem for condo buyers, even those trying to buy into HOAs on solid financial footing. I hope you have good things happening in your life to balance this mess.
