Moving to St. Augustine and wondering which provider everyone likes best...

I don't see options other than Comcast for Internet and landline.

Does anyone have Direct TV and then a different internet/telephone provider?

Do you feel you get what you pay for?

Thank you!

I'm in Jax, but we have Comcast for internet (only provider available) and DirecTV for tv. We had Comcast tv, but it was terrible. DirecTV goes out once in awhile, but we had tv through the worst of Irma until the power went out Monday morning..

We have Comcast and are very happy with it. We have 12 local channels and internet. We supplement with Sling, Amazon Prime and Netflix.

My in laws in St Augustine have AT&T Uverse as it was their only option where they live so maybe thats the case in the area you are going. I had Uverse for a short time in Jacksonville as well myself. Lots of channels offered, internet was decent but the pricing still not very reasonable. My in laws pay close over $250 a month. I had a promotion myself that made the pricing reasonable for 6 months but skyrocketed to over $300 immediately after and I was not eligible for any other offers afterwards.

We started out with AT&T for two years. Once our contract expired, Comcast made more sense - cheaper with faster internet. We found them to be about equal in terms of channels and service, but once our two years is up with Xfinity, we'll price shop again.

DirecTV is horrible. We had it for a while and constantly lost signal. My parents have the same problem now in St. Aug. We have UVerse TV and internet and it's better than DTV, but not as good as Comcast. We got faster internet for the price with Comcast. They weren't available in our neighborhood when we moved so we're stuck with ATT for now, but once this contract is up we'll probably go back to Comcrap if for no other reason than the internet speed value.

Leaning toward Comcast for TV, internet and phone in a bundle. We need to keep it under $200 a month. We have 4 TVs. I have tried to reduce the number of TVs but well, that's not happening.

Its the download speeds that confuse me. 75 sounds fast to me. We don't download or stream movies or do any gaming, so it should suffice (I hope).

The prices for all of this stuff are outrageous.

Do you have cell phones? Bundle tv, internet & home security instead with Comcast. Same monthly pricing & get a reduction on your homeowners or renters insurance. 75MPS is plenty of speed!

If you're losing signal, there's a good chance it's because of the installation. I had the same issue when I got DirecTV and it was due the guy who installed it not tightening everything down correctly. One service call later, and now the only time I lose signal is when we're having torrential downpours - and not every time it rains heavy. All that being said, if they offered Comcast where I'm at I'd switch in a heartbeat.
