I have worked for 3 employers in the past 3 years and currently jobless.

I had a large problem even with getting an interview, although my skill and background fit many jobs. A lot of the recruiters claim that my CV is too volatile and hesitate to invite me for an interview.

Later on, I revised my resume. I put the first 2 years experience with 2 companies together into one. Therefore, it looks that I worked for one employer for 2 years. Except for this issue, I didn't lie on my term of service even no exaggeration of my skills and experience.

I'm wondering whether this is categorized as a fake resume?

I'm running with a big firm with this resume and succeeded in the first round interview. But I'm very much concerned how I can deal with the background check if they hire me.

Could any of you please give me some clues? Thanks.

You are flat out lying so you can try to get a job.

You might as well make up jobs you did while you are at it. You might get away with it, but if you get caught, you are out of the door. Your choice.

Here is what I would do. Use the name of a company that went bankrupt. Give the name of a friend as your supervisor and try that.

Sadly, I have several co-workers who preach this very thing. It's no wonder many people can't get their foots in the door. They're competing with a bunch of liars with over-inflated skill sets and experience.

Job hunting has become a war between companies and job seekers. Both sides are using every dirty trick in the book. Disinformation and trickery are just part of the game.

The obvious problem I can see with this is if they get to the point of validating previous employment dates.

Really do you go to an interview and be completely honest or do you tell them what they want to hear.

What is your greatest weakness?
Ho Humm gee I have so many let's see I'm arrogant, lazy, I have no loyalty to the company, talk about inappropriate subjects at work, act busy when the boss is looking but slack off when he isn't, I bully my subordinates, have anger management issues...
