I just remembered I have a tie, based on you jarring my memory. When water filters were the rage in the 90's NFS overpriced crap I was young and gullible and showed up to two NSF pep rallies in one day Atleast the 2nd one I saw the filter and the hype right away and bailed. The best way the cheerleader saying to me" I am glad you let me know so you don't ruin a great presentation" LMAO. I started laughing at him and walked out.
someone mentioned fire drill i can do one better possibly haha. was in the middle of an interview for a teaching job when the morning announcements came on. for anyone who works in education or remembers high school the morning announcements always begin with the pledge of allegiance. i stood up in the small conference room while the other 4 people , principal, asst principal and 2 others just sat there.

I interviewed for a job as supervisor in charge of the water billing system at a city that i decided after the drive was too far to commute for the pay, but I went through with it anyway. The hiring manager was the head of Accounting.
After their questions when asked if I had any questions I asked about their water conservation program, so I could add my experience in that area. She said they do not encourage conservation because it affects their revenue. Naturally i was dumfounded at how irresponsible that was and basically argued with her about it. Even so, the HR guy called a couple of days later and said I came in 2nd of the 10 interviewed and they gave it to an internal candidate. Funny thing, it was posted again 5 months later (I didn't apply).
