It seems they put a kindergartner in a position of authority. He is sending me his flight itinerary. How ridiculous? How about the address where he is going to see the fireworks? Maybe we can meet at the concession stand before the show. What a moron.

I wouldn't be surprised if they identified someone else or decided not to pursue this position. Sounds like a flake.

This is sounding like a routine. I am not sure if it is incompetence, an Excalibur test, being understaffed or whatever. It's starting to seem like a continuous problem though. I would give them another chance and look elsewhere.

Well thanks to LinkedIn I have his boss's email and that of the Director of HR. It is time for an email letting them what is going on.

I am sure they know what is going on. Just keep looking and you will get other possibilities going.

There are some real jerks in this thread. If you think I'm talking about you...then I am.

It's obviously a bad sign. They don't have their act together. The position isn't urgent to them. Also, they could be really busy. When I transferred positions within the same company, it took SIX weeks to let me know I got the job. SIX WEEKS. There was some reasoning behind it but it was really they were busy and people drag their ass when its not them.

Are you serious? That's ridiculous and a sure way NOT to get the job.

That is ridiculous. Maybe ask him to let you know when he is taking a dump in the men's room at the airport, he will have to sit still long enough for that to chat.

I think the OP is at the point, and understandably so that they don't care that much about the position and want someone higher up to know what is going on(because I guarantee most of the time they don't know).

And do you honestly think after getting blown off 3 times now for a phone interview is going to even land an in person interview at this rate? Very doubtful.

Happens a lot honestly, and in my experience, almost always a red flag.

Proceed with caution.
