I had an interview today at Chic-fil-a. When I turned in my application I had like a little interview with one of the managers and then I got a call back about another interview. The interview seemed like it went good the store manager asked me what I would like to do and I told her she then explained to me all about the training for the job that I wanted. She was telling me I would have training for a week I would be with someone the first day the second day I would be on my own at one station and so on. She then asked me what days I couldn't work over the next couple weeks. After all that she then went back and talked to another manager she came back and told me she was going to see if she could get the other manager to get me more hours. After the whole interview she told me she would let me know something tomorrow if not tomorrow definitely by friday because they are still interviewing people. I feel like it went pretty good. I just want to see what some other people think.
I had a job interview yesterday, one of six final candidates whittled down from "inundated with applicants" for a part time gardening job.
I had answered an ad on craigslist, sent an email of interest and a resume, two weeks later they forwarded an online job application and two weeks later they called me for an interview. Not until they phoned did I have any real idea of what kind of property it was, who, or where. The entire call lasted less than 5 minutes.
At the interview they asked what in particular had piqued my interest in their particular property. I had to say that in all honesty I knew absolutely nothing about their property till they called, because the job ad hadn't included any kind of details as to who what when or where. They seemed disappointed in that answer. I even had to email them three times to remind them that they had failed to include the address for the interview when they invited me to come in.
Kind of hard to rouse a cheerleader attitude when all you know about a job is next to nothing because they're too paranoid to say what and where it is.
They called a while ago to inform me that they were hiring another candidate. That was nice of them anyway.
Sad but true. If I had a dollar for every time I thought I was getting an offer, well, I wouldn't have to continue looking for work! Even after three call backs, you just never know. I am going to try and not think about the job after the interview and just continue searching for the next one until I am shocked and get hired somewhere.

several of my poor interviews resulted in long long periods of good employment.

As it's been said above - keep looking!! Do not wait until Friday!!. possibly you will get that job, but there is no guarantee.You do not want to wait - keep looking!!
Some crappy interviews get you an offer; other great ones do not..You never know..this is so so subjective..
I am waiting by myself, thinking about that job every day, but I continue to look and apply for other positions. If I get that one, great; if I do not... well at least I will not waste my time sitting and waiting - they told me another two weeks....
DO NOT STOP interviewing if you THINK you may have a position. Keep on interviewing. Sometimes they take weeks to get back to you. Sometimes they never ever call back. Sometimes you get the "no" letter. Keep interviewing until you get a job. And don't forget your follow up letter or email to the people you interviewed and remember to remind them to call you if they need clarification on anything they asked of you in the interview.
skatexride: FOR YOUR PEACE OF MIND. yes. you will be hired. we read your post the first time no need to double post. and it is a fast food job. i mean come on.. no need to get paranoid about. fast food job is the surest thing. isn't it?
Oh yeah, OT but... the mention of the fact that companies use the temp agencies to find people because they are not good at finding the correct "fit"... that is what I thought. Used to be that way. NOW the latest trend is for the temp agencies to find the talent and then you STILL have to interview with the company for A TEMP (not even a temp to hire!) POSITION! What happened to the old days where you would send in a temp, if they did not "fit" they were sent away and they got a new talent.
Makes no sense to me at all....
