Such a desirable location, no wonder the Village lasted only ten years before Mr Wolf developed 24 Hiway SC there

I once found another such "GI 'village'" along 23rd St near Blue Valley Park I noticed a long time friend's family had a listing there in Polk's He remembered living there as a child

I saw recently that the large forested area behind still remains mostly undeveloped. I recall it dropped steeply down to a small creek that meandered thru. Lost many a baseball down that embankment

Does anyone else remember the tiny little woman who walked up and down Noland Road in the 70s? My mom called her "Noland Road Annie." In 1981 I worked as a fountain girl at the Zarda Dairy store at Noland and Gudgell, and served her once. Her real name was Thelma.

Her strolls were wide-ranging. I often saw her around the Square and northwest of there. The nicknames given her by others is almost as wide-ranging.
