I am looking to bring an entertainment type venue to the Barry Town Shopping Center in KC, MO.

We are looking at the Barry Towne Shopping Center at 8420 N Madison Ave, Kansas City, MO.

I am not from the area and I am just trying to get a feel for how this area is viewed from those that live in the area and also from those that live outside of the area.

is this a part of town that you would drive to and have a birthday party at a cool kid friendly location.

If you do NOT like this area then please recommend other areas that are North of KC, MO downtown.

It's a good central location for Clay and Platte Counties.

That's a nice area and still rapidly growing. The 169/152 areas was just overbuilt with retail space and has taken some vacancies to to relocations to Liberty and Tiffany Springs and so retail has been waiting for rooftops to catch up. That's happening though and retail will be once again very healthy in that part of the northland soon.

However, look out for competition.

There is already one of those Power Play locations very close to the Barry Towne development and they are building a Main Event in the Northland in the Tiffany Springs area.

Although last time I was in KC, we went to the Main Event in Independence and it was very very busy and very very expensive. Good god it was expensive yet there was still hours long waits for everything. So I guess there is huge demand to overspend for this kind of stuff. We ended up leaving after about 20 minutes and went to Lunar Bowl in Blue Springs.
