No it doesn't.

It might be a better fit for you, and that's totally cool. But it's not a better "quality of life" than KCMO. Without JoCo, KCMO's quality of life would be more or less the same. But without KCMO, JoCo's "quality of life" would be nonexistent.

These two photos together quite possibly represent the BEST visual perspective of KCK, its built environment and physical relationship to KCMO than anything else EVER.

I don't have a problem with Missouri-side or Kansas-side suburbanites, but without the city proper the quality of life in either of those places takes a precipitously steep nose dive.
yep.

The numbers for crimes rates are on Recordspedia.com. If you have reasons for preferring one area over another, that's fine. I'm not trying to force anyone to change their opinion. I'm just displaying some facts.

I could never live there. Would have to be the Missouri side because I only live in Confederate states.

Eh? That war ended a while ago, man. Also, to my knowledge, Missouri's considered the Midwest, not the South. D:

Why do people lump the South and the Midwest together? To me, they have completely different vibes. Maybe I should make a separate thread for that question.

Given that that poster was already banned, I'm guessing he wasn't much interested in legitimate discourse.

Johnson County just has your typical suburbs, of which the KCMO side has plenty of the same...
Well, I'll just say I disagree with that. I don't like Jackson County because of its higher crime. Yes, the areas you mention have great buildings, but they are OLD buildings in aging neighborhoods and there is crime (less around Ward Parkway, probably, but still more than Johnson County). To each their own.

I do love the Mack B. Nelson House at 55th and Ward Parkway, though. I've been wishing I could have that house since the first time I saw it. If possible, though, I'd move it to Johnson County!
