I am from Elkton and can not wait to move back. There is not much there, just a small farming community, but I have family there. Small town, very laid back, everyone knows everyone, no traffic, etc.

No where to shop like others have said, but Hoptown, Russellville, and Clarksville are not far away.

Close to Lake Malone and KY Lake, greating hunting, beautiful scenery. North Todd has rolling hills.

Best burgers in the world are at Hampton's Dairy Mart!!!

Thanks for the responses. I was sent to Elizabethtown for almost a year and I was actually re-located again towards the end of last year and am getting settled in nicely. I was sent south of Elizabethtown this time to a small rural town of about 4,000 and love it here. (I do miss the mountains, but don't like the cities) so am very happy here so far in Adair County. I'll probably retire here when I'm old.
