Going to Bowling Green beginning for Sept. We're going to the Corvette plant and Smith Grove Historic District and looking for other things to visit.

Caves! Bowling Green is in the famous Cave Country of Kentucky. Lost River Cave is right in Bowling Green, and Mammoth Cave National Park is a short distance up I-65. Caves are good, weather-proof travel destinations.

Thanks CraigCreek. I had not thought of Caves. Any one else?

Any thoughts on the Drury Inn in Bowling Green?

Western Kentucky University is in Bowling Green - you might see if they have any interesting museums. How long will you be in Bowling Green? Cave tours can take several hours...see the Mammoth Cave National Park website for full info. The park also has surface attractions and activities (trails, displays, ranger-led activities, etc), and there are lots of touristy attractions nearby outside of the park.
