There is been not a peep out of Obama for help in Kentucy where seven people have died, half a million people remain without electricity and over 200,000 are without water due to a major ice storm. Kentucy's Governor Steve Beshear described the fallout from last week's ice storm as the state's largest-ever natural disaster.

Where is the Obama administration? Where is FEMA? Why hasn't there been any federal help for these people? Where is the immediate help that Obama promised for these types of disasters?

For all you whinies out there who think everything is Obama's fault of his fault nothing is done, read this. Of course I know if it is something good he has done you won't find that part in any newspaper in the world!
Ky. asks Obama to speed federal aid for ice storm - Severe Weather - Kentucky.com (http://www.kentucky.com/787/story/679735.html - broken link) Here's part of it...Obama signed federal emergency declarations last week for Kentucky, Arkansas and Missouri after ice and snow blamed for more than 40 deaths in nine states and for power outages that peaked at 1.3 million customers from the Southern Plains to the East Coast.

And FEMA? FEMA delivering supplies in Kentucky - State & Regional - Wire - Kentucky.com (http://www.kentucky.com/471/story/679935.html - broken link)

I guess it's Obama's fault all the ice came to?

how is it not obama's fault that help is not getting to kentucky, but it was bush's fault that help was not getting to those in new orleans when they were ordered to evacuate?

Who said help isn't getting to Kentucky? I drove down around the Mayfield/Benton/paducah area ane saw quite a few National Guard. Read about FEMA delivering generators.

There is some help but not nearly enough. The full Kentucky national guard was not called out until Saturday. Until then, only about 1600 were called out. I blame the governor for the slow response more than Obama. It is up to your governor to impress on the President your need. Same could have been said and should have been said for Katrina.

Was KY hardest hit with this storm or is KY infrastructure lacking? I ask because MO also got hit but it seems like KY is having the most issues.

Here is the truth!

"Local officials were growing angry with what they said was a lack of help from the state and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. In Grayson County, about 80 miles southwest of Louisville, Emergency Management Director Randell Smith said the 25 National Guardsmen who have responded have no chain saws to clear fallen trees.

"We've got people out in some areas we haven't even visited yet," Smith said. "We don't even know that they're alive."

Smith said FEMA has been a no-show so far."

Using the plight of those who are suffering from winter storm damage in Kentucky to air your anger at "Nobama" is pretty low IMO.

Here is some more truth from Quarter-million still without power in icy Kentucky - CNN.com

"Rogers said many of the deaths resulted from carbon monoxide poisoning after residents pulled power generators inside their homes to keep warm."

Go ahead and blame Obama if it makes you feel better. Truth is there are quite a few states who have had equally harsh winters, now and in the past. It's a part of life and turning it into a political tirade is sad.

And you, or anyone else, are surprised? You mean, people ACTUALLY/REALLY think he's different/"change"/hope (crap...). It's completely beyond my comprehension that anyone actually thought/thinks he's going to be different. Oh, he'll be different! 100% worse than George Bush. (Look at the disasters he's chosen for his cabinet...particularly love the pick of the man to monitor this country's financial system who didn't even know he was supposed to pay taxes and then claimed he didn't know how to work "turbo tax" on the internet). Yeah, great president. I'm so sorry for Kentucky. I'm so sorry for our entire country.
