We live sort of close to the TV Station so probably too far then. I was hoping it would sound like the movie "Silent Hill".

Johnson City isn't one. Last year we had a few warnings and some straight-line winds. Other than that, it's safe from tornadoes. I would say west TN and middle TN are the heaviest hit by tornadoes. I hope you will enjoy TN!

I read today that there are more accidental bathtub deaths than tornado deaths.

Default Tornadoes

I doubt this year will be like last year, as far as tornadoes are concerned. The frequency of tornadoes and tornado fatalities last year were record breaking. Many meteorologists who witnesses the 1974 Super Outbreak never thought they would live long enough to see another year as deadly. It is likely, none of us will ever see another year with as many tornado fatalities as 2011.

Even if there is only one tornado this year, if it hits your house, then it was a bad year for tornadoes for you personally.
