Dropped by there early this morning just to check things out. Most of the food booths were not up and running yet but I was amazed at the total number of vendors (crafts, etc). I don't think I've seen that many at any other event here in the tri-cities. A few pics for those who couldn't make it this year.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Apple Fest. I've not made it yet and I doubt I'll make it tomorrow, and I didn't go last year either SIGH. It's my favorite festival in the Tri-Cities. I didn't get to Rhythm & Roots this year and I couldn't afford Storytelling (I'm usually a volunteer but couldn't stand that long at a time at the moment) either. Doing really bad attending events in 09.

Thanks for the pix. I love Erwin (even if I don't recommend moving there!) and the people that live in Unicoi.

I think it's a 2 day event this year Jab so they wouldn't be around tomorrow anyway. There was a pretty good turnout there already when I arrived around 9'ish.

I never understand why the food vendors don't get cranking earlier at these things. On my way out of town I stopped by this tent and had a couple of carne asada tacos.

I was there Saturday. Good music. My one mistake was getting taken for a $6 corn dog. I was starving and it hit the spot, but there were several other local vendors that I wished I had waited for later on.

Erwin really has something with their downtown. I want to comeback and visit on a non-festival day.

$6 for corn dog is a bit steep heh? I agree with you on their downtown area. It's small but I really like the mom and pop places scattered about.

Great pics! I missed it this year too. We were in Myrtle Beach. Hubby went back to work today and said that everybody raved about the Amish donuts that they made at their booth. They told him they tasted just like hot Krispy Kremes, but was the size of a dinner plate!
