Hi
I am planning a weekend trip (MLK weekend) to Knoxville. My daughter (11 yo) loves University of Tennessee and Women's Basketball. So we will be coming in for a game and visiting the Women's Basketball Museum. It will be a christmas gift, so she has no idea.

Any suggestions would help (places to stay, things to see, places to eat, etc).

congrats on your visit, and the new Lady Vols, sound like they have one of the best teams since the tamekas, chamekas, and predictions, maybe another Title. You will also enjoy the museum. Eating places will vary, depending on whether you have budget. Calhouns is right beside the gym, on the water, and places to stay again, your budget. The Crown Plaza is a great place downtown, and if you want to stay on the outskirts, many places to consider. Go lady Vols.!!!!

Default Visiting Knoxville

Hi all,
Next weekend I will be visiting Knoxville and need some info.
I am staying 3 days but as I am unfamiliar with the good and bad areas,I need help.
I need a hotel near some restaurants and in a "good" area....as in low crime.

Thanks all

Kerrymac

Check hotels in Turkey Creek and Parkside Drive, that's where most restaurants are and safe.

You can also stay in my area, which is the Cedar Lane/Merchant's Road area off of I-75. There is a Hampton Inn that is rated #1 on Trip Advisor, as well as Best Value. There are also several other hotels in this area, too. The Cedar Lane side is the nicest, I think.

Check out the Ramada across the street from West Town mall...All the shopping and resturants you need are all within 5 to 10 mins of the hotel...It has balconies too i believe...Its not the typical rundown Ramada in shady areas...Its nice and so is the location
