I am confused. There are some very attractive and well maintained neighborhoods across Papermill from Pond Gap. Are you saying they aren't zoned to Pond gap?

There is one working class neighborhood off middlebrook near the industrial area. I've never thought of it as a high crime area but really don't pay attention to these things.

Personally, I'd rather live mortgage free in a working class neighborhood than have to pay rent or high mortgage in a "desirable" part of town.

My advice to the OP is to look at the crime maps, talk to the neighbors. Investigate Pond Gap, talk to the principal.
