I didn't want to sound like a mean mommy but once I realized Riley was okay, I cracked up myself. The look on his face was priceless.

My whole family is stunned about how fast we moved. We didn't plan to move this fast either but once I got the job, we had to go. I didn't expect to get a job for months but it really worked out great for us. We are really happy.

Has your husband found a job or will he start looking now that you are here?

Oh! I gotcha! Don't tell anyone but <whispering> I don't really like donuts. But I do like their muffins! And coffee...Mmmmmmmmmm. I am all over it. Heck, I'm just happy enough being close to it. I feel like I've been deprived of "stuff" for so long. People think I am such a country girl because I listen to country music, ride/have owned horses, I love the smell of a barn and getting dirty but living out in the country? Not for me! I need a mall!!!

We moved really fast, too.

My husband's boss retired, and we were out of a job and a place to live. The housing market in Florida was through the roof and we realized it was "now or never."

Sometimes, you have to just go. I'm glad that we did.

I am so glad that you like the place.

Smile LCG...we're just a few weeks behind you!!!!

LilCabinGirl, I'm so glad to hear that you made it safely and that you sound so happy - though a bit 'sore'!!

Hubby and I will be right behind you.....everything is packed and one week from today ABF will deliver our ReloCubes and then one week later they will pick it up and we will head out the next morning........just 15 days from now!!

And like you, we are moving to a furnished townhome in West Knoxville, sight unseen, which we will live in short term while we are house hunting!! (Hey Hiknapster.....wanna do another 'pre-check'???? LOL....you could start a whole new career!!)

I told hubby last night that I'm actually looking forward to the fact that when we move, we don't have to do any unpacking right away. I have everything packed and staged in two separate areas......the majority will go into the ReloCube and after they pick up the Cube, they will take it to their storage warehouse in Knoxville, and after we find and purchase a new 'home', they will deliver it. The other 'staging area' is everything that I think we might need for up to 90 days!! It requires a bit more thinking when packing, but now that I'm through with the long term packing, I am relaxing and am going to enjoy these last two weeks!!

Hiknapster, we'll be at Forest Ridge! We are using Corporate Quarters and they gave us a choice of three apartment complexes, and we opted for Forest Ridge because they are townhomes........and we wouldn't have to carry groceries, etc. up and down stairs!! Sure hope it was a good decision!

I'll definitely owe you one!!!!

Well, this will definitely save me a trip, and thank goodness, because I'm on a quest for a Nintendo DS today (it's our daughter's birthday). Wish me luck with that.

Anyway, I know exactly where Forest Ridge is, because my husband's first Knoxville job was in Karns, and we looked at a house rental that sits right in front of Forest Ridge. That looks like a really nice complex and it's in a nice area and centrally located, too. I think you will be very happy there. Great choice!

Thank you so much hiknapster!!! Now, I am even more excited about our move!!!!!

Good luck on finding a Nintendo DS - so how old is your daughter today?? They have some great new colors now....I like the red/black one! But I bet your daughter wants the pink one! I told hubby that I want a Nintendo DS and the 'Brain Age' game, so that I could use it on our long trips and could keep the ole brain stimulated!! As if, C-D doesn't keep the brain cells in constant use!
